The Garrett Vortex comes in three versions: VX5, VX7 and the VX9. What makes the Vortex unique is the ability to upgrade your metal detector to a higher version via a software upgrade with no need to invest in new hardware. The upgrades will unlock more features and more power allowing the detector to grow with you as you gain more experience and confidence as a detectorist.
