The Viking WASP II is an industrial metal detector with the same high visibility black and yellow design as the original Viking WASP with some additional enhancements.
Used largely in industrial applications, such as locating buried man hole covers and pipes the WASP II's larger concentric Polo
search coil offers greater depth,
while being sensitive enough to locate smaller targets, such as metal arrow tips used in archery.
A further aid to locating small targets is the addition of a pin-point mode.
Operation is simple being a non-motion detector with just a single tuning knob and push button for pin-pointing.
