Eliminate EMI from your mobile phone without turning it off or switching to flight mode. Simply placing your phone into this pouch and closing the flap will block all signals emitted by the phone. The pouch is sealed by closing the flap with two press-studs.
Because a metal detector is sensitive to electro-magnetic interference (EMI) your mobile phone can cause problems while detecting. Signals emitted from the phone can cause noise and false signals and may lead you to adjusting settings to sub-optimal levels to eliminate these.
While you obviously won't be able to receive calls/messages or use the phone while in the pouch, you only need remove the phone to instantly re-activate it, saving you the need to switch modes or wait for a re-start.
The pouch will stop signals to/from your phone network, Bluetooth and WiFi.
The pouch actually has two separate pockets, one inside and one outside of the Faraday lining. This means you can still use it to hold your phone while not actively detecting, during times when you do want to keep in touch and still receive calls and messages, just put the phone in the front pocket. To hold the pouch it has a key-ring and chain, plus a loop for a lanyard.
