Following the publication of the second edition of History Beneath Our Feet the author continued to record small metal artefacture recovered by metal detectorists. Southern and Western England has produced most of this material, however some came from as far afield as Scotland. To date, this assemblage of data is sufficient for several volumes.
This volume is designed as a catalogue to aid identification and dating: for evolutionary or other information concerning a particular type of artefact, the reader is advised to study an appropriate reference. The primary metal and method of manufacture are copper alloy and casting, and decoration is moulded, unless otherwise stated.
