Minelab have made an amazing coil with the M9 its light you can swing it all day it also cuts thru the mineralised and iron infested soil effortlessly and bangs them none conducive targets out it virtually stops you in your tracks , you can also run the sensitivity higher on the M9 more than you can do with the 11” and 15” coils to get that extra power of the manticore , i have had some amazing finds since i got the M9 , but the big plus for me personally is how good it is on low conductive coins such as Anglo-Saxon sceats or small Celtic units Love my M9 its paid for itself 10 times over super coil

I like all of the coils I’ve tried on the Manticore to date, they all have their ideal place and time. However, I spend more time with the M9 coil on than any other, and I think that says something!

The performance and the perception of the Minelab Manticore continue to grow.
When released in late 2022 it was a great machine which was well-received. The Manticore looks great, with fantastic build quality, super-fast, deep, and has a high degree of customisation. Even at this time, you fit the M15 coil achieve more depth, pulling out more targets on beaches and pasture sites. Then a few months later came the update (very early on for a Minelab update) and this once again revitalised an already well-performing machine. Features like the Stabiliser and Red Ferrous Numbers were well received, and it surged the machine further in popularity, particularly with detectorists who wanted things to be simple.
Well, since the release of the M9 coil, we’ve seen the biggest surge in the machines appeal yet. Throughout the rally period of 2024 we sold more M9 coils than we have ever sold of all coils combined in single season. At the RCM rally we had to send out for another batch from one of our stores just to get more in to sell! We estimate that almost 1 in 3 Manticore users have now upgraded to the M9 coil.
And why is this? Because it once again elevates the Manticore to another level. It’s balanced, light, and sharp and it just seems to help the machine sing. If the Manticore truly is a beast, then the M9 is the adamantine claw it can now use to dig deeper.
